First round selection in Ottawa
June 20th, 2008 by thewordbirdTHe Vancouver Canucks have selected Brampton Battalion centre CODY HODGSON with the 10th overall pick.
Hodgson beat out Steven Stamkos for the final spot on Team Canada (WJC 07-last year) and nearly doubled his point total this year for the Battalion. He is a swift player who is known as a clutch performer. Playmaking is his forte and the Canucks may see him on the point of the powerplay with his slick right-handed shot.
Cody’s Dad is a former Cabinet Minister in Ontario and was once hailed as a possible Premier.
